The XB was a refinement of the brilliantly styled XA, the car that reasserted Ford on the Australian market in sales and launched a long history of local design.
The 1965 Cortina GT 500 became the first purpose-built car to win the famed Bathurst 1000 km road-race and thus set the stage for a special performance edition for the next 6 consecutive models - XR, XT, XW, XY, XA and XB. The Australian GT story started way back in the 1960s - not with the XR GT as most people think, but with the English four-cylinder Cortina GT that dominated the Australian racing scene in the early to mid-60s. The engine bay and undercarriage are spotless and fitted with Simmons wheels that complete the ERA of the XB GT. The focus being on originality and presents in amazing condition. This vehicle has had a masterful restoration with paint and interior refurbishment, along with Driveline reconditioning. Only 949 of these race inspired GT Coupe supercars of the 70's Era where ever produced.

A genuine XB GT 2 door coupe, the Falcon GT was fitted with a 224kW, 515Nm 351 Cleveland V8, matched to a four-speed Top loader' manual and is a number matching example. The interior presents in Chamois vinyl with full instrumentation.
